My Cosmic Nature

I was born in the Year of the Rooster, 1981. I don't know that much about Eastern Astrology, but my mom got pretty into it for a little while and she found out that I'm not only a Rooster, but I'm like a super-never-should've-happened-one-in-a-million Rooster. I guess in this astrology system each sign breaks down into different parts:

  • the Element (fire, water, metal, etc),
  • they have a "Western Equivalent" (for some people these don't match),
  • each sign has an hour
  • and each sign has a day (or it might be hour and month, I can't remember).

Anyway, so from all this you might get a

  • Water Pig,
  • born on the Day of the Dragon,
  • who is really a Picses but the Western Equivalent of the Pig is Aries or something,
  • and born on the Hour of the Rat.

There are lots of variables, and with most people these differences supposedly combine to form their personality and character traits (i.e. the "mix" that the hour of _____ will cause to a someone of a Rabbit sign or whatever).

Well, so I'm year of the rooster and my western equivalent matches (Virgo), further I was apparently born on the Day of the Rooster, and the within the Hour of the Rooster AND the year of the Metal Rooster which is the most unchangeable form of the sign. Creepy, right? Matched up across the board - rooster, rooster, rooster, rooster and then just to be sure - METAL Rooster. Wow. I really don't have any idea why I have so much trouble getting up in the morning. Sometimes I think I cancel myself out.
