Hosting

Hosting refers to storing the website on a server (see server) so that the files that make up the site are available online and can be viewed by a user. Your website isn't "live" until it is hosted. Hosting is related to the domain of the site (see domain). There are services which provide both domain registration and hosting or they can be purchased separately.
